I have been reading a lot lately; scouring through the web or investing in some “revolutionary ebooks” hoping to unlock secrets to making more adsense income.
Invariably the results are always the same. No matter what advanced software you use or what latest traffic generating system you use, you cannot escape the fact that you need good content on your site. Good content ensures returning traffic. Your readers are likely to bookmark your site. Returning traffic will translate to earnings.
Of course, the more information you have the better. But your site does not gain in value if the content you put up has information that is easily available elsewhere. What I noticed is that those content that I add my own unique perspective or twist to it, enjoy a higher viewership than others. For instance, there are a dime or dozen articles on natural cancer treatments or massage therapy for arthritis. But there are not that many who share their own experiences with these keyword articles.
What happens if your article is in a niche that you have no experience in? Well, how about finding someone who does? Invite readers to your site to share about their experiences on your site.
One good tip though is to be adventurous and keep an open mind. A fresh perspective to your niche can also come from books that you read. Or things that you would not have previously tried. What about going for a massage therapy or acupuncture session for the health niche that you are in? You may have an interesting insight and be able to relate better through the content that you have for your niche.
If you have been reading the latest reports on future trends in website marketing, content publishing is the name of the game. The days of making crappy sites are over! So are the days when you spend hours trying to be ahead of the SEO game. You are much better off channeling your time and resources to producing content that readers want to read.
Content Publishing will be continue to be my focus going into year 2007.
