Set A Goal For Article Marketing

Do you have a goal that you set for article marketing? If you are serious about content generation and driving traffic, then you need to write, publish and market as many articles as possible. Obviously, the more articles that you have out there, the more people can find you and click the link on the author resource box back to your site. On the web, it is a numbers game in terms of driving traffic.

Of course, if you syndicate articles that are not content-rich, unique and/or informative, your articles are not going to generate you the click through that you need. Readers need to recognise you as the authority on the topic that you are targetting.

In his latest article, Chris Knight of Ezinearticles.com also makes a distinction between page views and leverage factor. Page views are directly related to the number of articles you have out there while leverage is related to the quality and content of your articles.

So, how do you set a goal for ? Commit to writing and syndicating say 1 article per day or 1 article per week. If you have 1 article per day, that will be 360 articles after one year. If you do only 1 article per week, that is 52 articles for the year.

Of course, Chris did also suggest that you should think about having thousands of article agents for . I did a quick calculation. To have 1,000 articles after one year, requires you to put up 2.78 or 3 articles per day. That may seem a lot to those who have difficulty even sitting down to write a piece of article. However, some of you may also by syndicating one piece of article over several directories and that helps in page views and the leverage as well.

The key point is whether you publish 1 or 3 articles per day is to have a goal or a plan. Then, commit to it religiously. For instance, set a goal to have X number of articles published by the end of the year, generating X-multiplier number of page views. Every effort you make counts towards the amount of traffic that you generate for your site.

Hence, instead of wasting time on black hat strategies, concentrate on article marketing with good quality content. Then, use Web2.0 to build the leverage and generate the publicity for your articles.

It’s time for me to revisit my own numbers set at the beginning of this year. I’ve already got a plan. But I need to do more. I want to have thousands of “article agents” working for all my sites.
