Christmas Greetings 2010

The festive period of beautifully lighted streets, adorned cone-shaped trees, winged fairies, great shopping deals and colorful gift wrappings is here. We cannot help but be seduced – there is an air of charm, magic, beauty and love that Christmas brings.

Christmas Greetings
(Abundance Tapestry wishes all readers Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!)

Even with occasional showers in tropical Singapore, it is a season for celebration. Most certainly, it is my favorite part of the year; with my birthday being on Christmas Eve too!

Photo MargaritaChristmas is also extra special because it is the time when I express my appreciation for the year. May I take the opportunity to thank all those who have supported this site whether by way of blog commenting, reading my posts, becoming a subscriber or helping me spread the word about this site.

You’ve been awesome!! Without your support, this site would not have continued till today. A toast to you!!

One final annoucement. I am going to be away in two day’s time. My family and I will be flying off on a vacation to the Gold Coast of Australia. We are looking forward to experiencing a change in scenery after having gone to Tokyo in June. In the next one week, our plan is to spend Christmas with some cousins who are residing in Brisbane and to visit some of its famed theme parks.

So this is going to be my last post for this year…until the new year begins. And as you already know, I am intending to start 2011 with a bang – with the launch of my new book (on January 5)!

I am leaving my comment box open, just in case you have got any last things to say before the year ends πŸ™‚

With the warmest of thoughts, I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas! Be well and happy in the meantime! I hope to see all of you back here in 2011!!

With love,

Hey Evelyn, I m ready to read and to see you rock this world to sleep with your new book!!! Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS…Also, is it true gum chewing is banned from your country? I read that on your blog comment some where..Oh yeah Im stalking you…lol.

Evelyn Reply:

Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for your encouragement.

Oh yes, chewing gum is banned in Singapore. You have to pay a fine when caught. While it may sound draconian, there are lots of other things that are great about this country. For instance, it is a relatively peaceful and safe place. It is also getting more and more cosmopolitan, and hence a haven for those who enjoy modern day conveniences. So it’s not all bad…LOL!!

Have a wonderful Christmas! Hope to connect more with you in the new year!!

With best wishes,
Evelyn

jonathanfigaro Reply:

That interesting. It nice there making things modern and such. But have you ever wondered why chewing gum is banned in Singapore?

Evelyn Reply:

It is a known fact. The government imposed the ban because it used to spend a lot of money removing chewing gum from public places. In the end, it felt that the ban was the only deterrent that could solve the unnecessary problem.

Oops, I missed the end of the year. But I’m going to, as always, fearlessly defy the rules, and appreciate your festive computer decorations. Of course, the decoration doesn’t need to be just for special occasions — I can imagine your computer festooned with leaves for Fall, covered with grass for Spring, and so on. πŸ™‚ Anyway, happy New Year.

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Chris,

I love your energy of fearlessness, as always! You’ve given me a great idea in dressing up my laptop for the various seasons…LOL!

Wishing you an abundance of blessings, love, peace and joy in 2011,
