5 Wealth Affirmations From Famous Authors

wealth affirmations from famous authors

If you want to improve your relationship with money, consider using wealth affirmations regularly.

Don’t know which affirmation to use? Well, let us borrow some inspiration from famous authors out there in their wealth affirmations. In my post, I have selected wealth affirmations by Dr Joseph Murphy, Louise Hay, T Harv Eker, Napoleon Hill and one that is traced back to Rev. Christopher Ian Chenoweth. All the affirmations are empowering statements that can help us create positive thoughts about money.

Wealth Affirmation #1/5: The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Dr Joseph Murphy

The Power of Your Subconscious Mind was first published in June 1963. While flipping through my copy of this book, I found the words “law of attraction” on page 128. Dr Joseph Murphy, its author, had illustrated how a boy harnessed the “law of attraction” to attract the money he needed for a medical degree. Hmmm….it is fascinating on how the use of the term can be traced to many years back, even before I was born!

The recommendation from the book is to read your affirmation with emotion and visualization several times a day. Here are two wealth affirmations from inside his book that you can use together…

I like money. I love it. I use it wisely, constructively, and judiciously. Money is constantly circulating in my life. I release it with joy, and it returns to me multiplied in a wonderful way. It is good and very good. Money flows to me in avalanches of abundance. I use it for good only, and I am grateful for my good and for the riches of my mind.

I am one with the infinite riches of my subconscious mind. It is my right to be rich, happy and successful. Money flows to me freely, copiously and endlessly. I am forever conscious of my true worth. I give of my talents freely, and I am wonderfully blessed financially. It is wonderful!

Wealth Affirmation #2/5: You can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay

Louise Hay has affirmations for every aspect of life in her book,You Can Heal Your Life. The one on prosperity is like this:

In the infinity of life where I am,
all is perfect, whole, and complete.
I am one with the Power that created me.
I am totally open and receptive to the abundant flow of prosperity
that the Universe offers.
All my needs and desires are met before I ask.
I am Divinely guided and protected,
and I make choices that are beneficial for me.
I rejoice in others’ successes, knowing there is plenty for us all.
I am constantly increasing my conscious awareness of abundance,
and this reflects in a constantly increasing income.
My good comes from everywhere and everyone.
All is well in my world.

Wealth Affirmation #3/5: The Prosperity Prayer

Dr Joe Vitale, a cast member of The Secret movie, once shared a prosperity prayer on his blog. The prayer was passed to him by his friend, Will Bowen, who described it as “the greatest consciousness conditioner available to attract prosperity”. In case you have not heard of Will Bowen, he is the author to the best-selling book A Complaint Free World: How to Stop Complaining and Start Enjoying the Life You Always Wanted.

Subsequently, someone pointed out that the prayer was originally written by Rev. Christopher Ian Chenoweth from some years ago. The prayer was a part of his famous “The Process” of Advanced Prosperity. Well, whoever wrote it, the prayer enjoyed a lot of attention from Dr Vitale’s large subscriber base, due to its beautiful words. I give it the thumbs up too!

Prosperity Affirmation – (Read Aloud Every Day for 30 days)

I am the source of all wealth. I am rich with creative ideas. My mind abounds with new, original, inspired thoughts. What I have to offer is unique, and the world desires it. My value is beyond reckoning. What the world needs and desires, I am ready to produce and give. What the world needs and desires, I recognize and fulfill.

The bounty of my mind is without hindrance or limit. Nothing can stand in the way of my inspired creativeness. The overflowing power of God life energy overcomes every obstacle, & pours out into the world, blessing & prospering everyone, & everything through me.

I radiate blessings, I radiate creativity, I radiate prosperity, I radiate loving service. I radiate Joy, Beauty, Peace, Wisdom & Power. Humanity seeks me and rewards me. I am beloved of the world. I am wanted wherever I go. I am appreciated. What I have to offer is greatly desired. What I have to offer brings a rich reward.

Through my vision the world is blessed. Through my clear thinking & steadfast purpose, wonderful new values come into expression. My vision is as the vision of the mighty ones. My faith is as the faith of the undefeatable. My power to accomplish is unlimited.

I, in my uttermost God Source, am all wealth, all power, all productivity. I hereby declare my financial freedom, NOW and henceforth forever!

Wealth Affirmation #4/5: Millionaire Mind Intensive by T Harv Eker

Through his seminars, the following are some of the wealth affirmations that the best-selling author advocates using…

I create my life. I create the exact amount of my financial success.

I play the money game to win. My intention is to create wealth and abundance.

I admire and model rich and successful people.

I believe money is important; Money is freedom and makes life more enjoyable.

I get rich doing what I love.

I deserve to be rich because I add value to other people’s lives.

I am a generous giver and excellent receiver.

I am truly grateful for all the money I have now.

Lucrative opportunities always come my way.

I am willing to constantly learn and grow.

My capacity to earn, hold and grow money expands day by day.

I am an excellent money manager.

I always pay myself first.

I put money into my financial freedom account everyday.

My money works hard for me and makes me more and more money.

I earn enough passive income to pay for my desired lifestyle.

I am financially free. I work because I choose to, not because I have to.

My part-time business is managing and investing my money, and creating passive income streams.

While his affirmations are not in a verse, we have been encouraged to recite the statements in one go.

Wealth Affirmation #5: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

In the classic Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill shared the following wealth affirmation to use…

“By the first day of January, 19.., I will have in my possession $50,000, which will come to me in various amounts from time to time during the interim.

In return for this money I will give the most efficient service of which I am capable, rendering the fullest possible quantity, and the best possible quality of service in the capacity of salesman of (describe the service or merchandise you intend to sell).

I believe that I will have this money in my possession. My faith is so strong that I can now see this money before my eyes. I can touch it with my hands. It is now awaiting transfer to me at the time, and in the proportion that I deliver the service I intend to render in return for it. I am awaiting a plan by which to accumulate this money, and I will follow that plan, when it is received.”

You can choose to edit Napoleon Hill’s wealth affirmation to suit your specific situation. For one, you will need to change the date. Definitely, personalise it for your use.

How to Use Wealth Affirmations

Some people tell me that affirmations do not work!! Well, my research shows that wealth affirmations work best when there is harmony between the conscious and subconscious. It is most effective when you are ready to be reprogrammed positively. Apply wealth affirmations only after clearing your money blocks in other words. For best results, you may also wish to read my previous article on Why Affirmations Fail to Work here.

I also recommend a few articles that I have written previously on affirmations:

To transform your relationship with money, use wealth affirmations as often as possible. In fact, make them as part of your daily practice. If you wish to reprogram your mind with positive thinking, wealth affirmations are a great way to go!

Hi Evelyn,

Very informative post! Wow, those were detailed wealth affirmations. Mine is simpler: “I have more than I need, and my wealth is growing every day”. I like the way you approach the topic of wealth from various angles. Gives me something to think about!

Lance - March 23, 2009

Hi Evelyn,

I don’t have a wealth affirmation, per se. However, I do have a deep-seeded belief that wealth and goodness are there for me always – especially when this in alignment with by core beliefs. To take this to the next level, I AM going to use Prosperity Affirmation from Joe Vitale. Coupled with where I’m at currently, I’m excited at the possibilities!

Evelyn, thanks so much for sharing these here today!

Jake | Revive Your Life - March 23, 2009

Hi Evelyn,

That was a very positive and uplifting post. Affirmations remind us that we have the ability to control our situation through positive beliefs and empowerment. While I don’t have a personal wealth affirmation per se, I attempt to follow a wealth “flow” prioritization that I feel is a must in my life. It is simply, that monetary outflow follows this pattern:

1) Give
2) Save
3) Pay Taxes (an obvious necessity)
4) Spend

It is challenging to follow this pattern and I find myself straying quite often, but I find that when I do, things work out for the best.

Jay - March 23, 2009

The Power of the Subconscious Mind is one of my favorite books of all time. Good to see others have found it useful as well. My wealth affirmation is simply “give more than I take”- the paradox of this is the more I give away the more it comes to me. It makes you realize that is what is how it is supposed to work. Are you listening banks out there hording your bailout?? Lend now or fall under the pressure of you selfishness.

Evelyn - March 23, 2009

@Daphne, the ones posted here are certainly more detailed than the one-liners. I guess I like to make my posts creative. Presenting from different angles may just connect with various group of readers.

@Lance, same here too! I am going to print out the one shared by Dr Joe Vitale and affirm it for the next 30 days! It’s great that we are on the same journey to creating more abundance into our lives!

@Jake, your priority of money outflow just shows how generous you are! Definitely inspiring! It’s amazing how things work out themselves when they are aligned to your Highest Path and Purpose.

Evelyn - March 23, 2009

Jay,

I’m not surprised that we like the same books. The Power of Your Subconscious Mind is definitely a great read! There are lots of gems in there!

Your wealth affirmation is inspiring! Let’s hope that the economic “crisis” will be over soon!

Abundance always,
Evelyn

Mary Madeline - March 23, 2009

Hi Evelyn,

Thank you for an awesome post! I enjoy how you take it from different angles, especially since every individual on the planet experience life differently. Gives us all a chance to find what works for us.

For me EFT and Silva has been a great tool for my affirmations. I went back and read your post on “tailenders” and why affirmations might not work. It really resonated with me – and that’s it – finding what resonates with ones heart, so you get the feeling of joy and peace with your affirmation. Allowing it to be in your vibration and come to fruition in physical plane, without the attachment and urgency. Allowing the Universe work for you and knowing it will happen in the perfect time for you.

We all have different beliefs and memories that create our world, so when things doesn’t happen then we have to ask questions and dig deeper into ourselves. Lately I enjoy mixing EFT with Ho’oponopono to “erase” past (emotional) memories, to fully let go of judgement. Everything we react to is based on memories of the past, be it good or bad.

Ho’oponopono is as Morrnah explains it; “We are the sum total of our experiences, which is to say that we are burdened by our pasts. When we experience stress or fear in our lives, if we would look carefully, we would find that the cause is actually a memory. It is the emotions which are tied to these memories which affect us now. The subconscious associates an action or person in the present with something that happened in the past. When this occurs, emotions are activated and stress is produced.” She continues; “The main purpose of this process is to discover the Divinity within oneself. The Ho’oponopono is a profound gift which allows one to develop a working relationship with the Divinity within and learn to ask that in each moment, our errors in thought, word, deed or action be cleansed. The process is essentially about freedom, complete freedom from the past.” The phrases used are; I am sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you, I love You.

Thank you for reading this long comment! LOL
May we all experience the best life possible with lots of Love, Joy, Laughter and Peace.

My Love to you all,

Mary Madeline

Evelyn – you have such a wonderful wealth of information and it’s so generous of you to share it so freely. Thank you!

I don’t have any wealth affirmations, but I am going do as you and Lance are and give Vitale’s a try for the next 30 days. It’ll be interesting to see what happens!

Jens Upton - March 23, 2009

Hiya

An inspiring read!
A timely article for me. I don’t have a financial prosperity / wealth affirmation. Shocking when you think of all the inducements, products in recent years to create one. As a result of your article I now will.

The prosperity affirmation has good use of language.
From my experience of using affirmations for other positive changes, I’d suggest practising with words and text to discover what ‘feels’ best. Be willing to alter the text if neccessary and keep the goal and dynamism focused.
Whenever I use affirmations or purposeful self talk, I ensure that it produces body tingling, good sensations throughout me. This makes it enjoyable and easier to remember.

Thanks
Jens

J.D. Meier - March 23, 2009

I think affirmations work when there’s a disconnect between conscious and subconscious.

Basically, you can sabotage your own success when you’re out of synch. Getting mindful and congruent is a good way to set yourself up for success.

Summer Fey Foovay - March 24, 2009

I like one by Stuart Wilde – short and sweet: The Universe is abundant, therefore my life is abundant. All my needs are met, all my wants are satisfied.

I also particularly like a visualization from Louise Hay – thinking of money, abundance as an ocean, do you walk up with a teaspoon, a bucket – or are you hooking up a firehose and a pump? I always visualize myself tossing the little bucket aside and hooking up the pump and firehose – gives me a smile, a laugh, and a positive boost to my day.

Mama Zen - March 24, 2009

I don’t really have an affirmation. I do try to focus on gratitude.

Tiko - March 24, 2009

Great post!! I love all of the resources you provided in this article. I really love the second affirmation you listed by Louise Hay. I simply love it…it’s perfect for spring and new beginnings! 🙂

JB - March 24, 2009

“I am thankful that I always have enough to spend, enough to save, enough to spare, and enough to share”. That’s mine.

Vered - MomGrind - March 24, 2009

“I like money. I love it.”

This is so much better than “money is filthy, and I don’t really need it.”

Great post, Evelyn. Thank you.

Carla - March 24, 2009

Great quotes. I have done this in the past and it has worked for me, but unfortunately old habits (negative, fearful thoughts) die hard. Thanks for the reminder for me to get back into the game!

Marelisa - March 24, 2009

Hi Evelyn: I think that at the very least these affirmations can help bring to light how we might be sabotaging ourselves by having negative beliefs about money. If a part of you says “yeah right” to any of these affirmations, it can help point to unresolved issues about money you didn’t even know you had.

Evelyn - March 24, 2009

Mary Madeline,

Thank you for sharing with me the Ho’oponopono method of cleansing. Your explanation about how the problems of today having roots in the past is one that I have also found true in my findings and investigations. It also almost sounds like doing an Akashic Record Reading/Soul Realignment whereby “every error, word or thought can be cleansed”. It’s great that you are mixing the methods of EFT and Ho’oponopono, to give you the best results. I use a combination of EFT and Soul Realignment myself.

It is obvious to me that you are a very beautiful soul. May you be blessed in happiness, love and peace too!

Abundance always,
Evelyn

Evelyn - March 24, 2009

@Laurie, I am a junkie for information…LOL!! Yes, do join in the fun with affirming the Prosperity Prayer.

@Jens, I’m glad to know that you are intending to look at your feelings and sensations closely when you use affirmations. As you’ve mentioned, in this manner, you can move into alignment on what “feels” best. Wishing you every success!!

@J.D. Meier, being mindful is a great way to know if we are out of sync. The use of affirmations most certainly can help us highlight potential areas to look into.

Evelyn - March 24, 2009

@Summer Fey, thanks for sharing the affirmation by Stuart Wilde. It may be short but it definitely sounds great! Thanks also for reminding me about Louise Hay’s visualization technique for abundance. I agree that it is a lovely one to provide the positive boost to your day!

@Mama Zen, focusing on gratitude helps to generate positive feelings too! Great!

@Tiko, I like Louise Hay’s affirmation too! It’s great that you find it timely!

Evelyn - March 24, 2009

@JB, thanks for sharing your wealth affirmation. With “enough to share”, it reflects abundance!

@Vered, “I like money. I love it.” sure cuts it! However, I’d suggest for anyone using this line to ensure that they totally believe in the affirmation first (no “buts” at the end) before using it.

@Carla, I know what you mean by old habits alright!! I need motivation myself to keep going!

@Marelisa, great insight!! As mentioned before, the use of affirmations can serve to highlight areas for us to look into. We need to be aware and mindful if saying the affirmations cause us a negative tingling emotion or sensation. If so, we need to clear these negative thoughts.

Jocelyn of I TAKE OFF THE MASK - March 24, 2009

Nadia-Happy Lotus - March 24, 2009

Hi Evelyn,

Those affirmations that you shared with us are really good. I usually like my affirmations to be short because that way I can say them more frequently and also it makes it easy to remember. For me the best the best money affirmation is to say “I am supplied in every way and not lacking for anything.”

Hope all is well!

Marj / thewayofmoney.com - March 24, 2009

Wow I totally enjoyed this post. I also love many of the affirmations from A Course in Miracles. One particular lesson that struck me was: “I am one Self, united with my Creator, at one with every aspect of creation, and limitless in power and in peace!” 🙂
Aaaah isn’t that wonderful to know?
“I am one Self, united and secure in light and joy and peace. I am God’s child, one Self, with one Creator and one goal; to bring awareness of this oneness to all minds, that true creation may extend the allness and the unity of God. I am one Self, complete and healed and whole, with power to lift the veil of darkness from the world.”
“I am one Self, in perfect harmony with all there is, and all that there will be. I am one Self, united with my brothers and sisters in that Self.”

Cath Lawson - March 25, 2009

Hi Evelyn – I like these affirmations. I had one, after learning to do it in Think and Grow Rich. But when I began achieving some of my goals, I no longer made the effort to read it to myself each day. This has reminded me that maybe I should be writing another one.

Coryelle Kramer~Animal Communicator - March 25, 2009

Hi Evelyn, It is amazing all those affirmations were just what I needed to hear right NOW at THIS moment. Each one was marvelous and right on. Thanks for all the information that you gave us.

Dragos Roua - March 25, 2009

Thanks for sharing this, I find the first two affirmations from The Power Of The Subconscious Mind extremely powerful, and I am going to use them. For that, I am grateful to you 🙂

And I know affirmations work. I was able to change my life through the power of affirmations and it works in every area: from getting a better health to business and money. Oh, and yes: money is ok, I love it :-).

Patricia - March 25, 2009

Sitting right beside my computer is my stack of affirmation cards, when I get stuck I take one off the pile and read it. Some of the cards are over 30 years old and I still read them

When I was in NYC a Native American Healer said to me, in front of the UN, that I was a person who would have enough money to take care of my needs and some of my wants, but I would not have enough money for others. Right then and there I took the “worry” out of money for me. Having children makes me worry about their money knowledge! I have spent 40 years of my life fund raising for non-profits and doing very well, because I did not worry about my needs and wants.
Very nice post. I like affirmations.

Lisa (mommymystic) - March 25, 2009

Nice post again. I have recently simply been working with ‘My life is abundant in every way’, which I affirm after I do some gratitudes at the end of my meditation each day. Although at times in the past, when I had concrete monetary or business goals, I would incorporate something more specific.

Jeb Dickerson - March 26, 2009

Hey Evelyn,
Just came your way via Jay @ the Inner Noodle. I’m enjoying getting to know you. I do have a question for you that was born out of your 7 jazzy things post from about a year ago. Comments on it are closed so I figured I’d ask you here…hope that’s okay.

In that post, you suggest Day Dreaming as a good method of enhancing affirmations…they give emotion and movement, I think you said.

My question is this. I always think about day dreaming as a hope or a wish, as opposed to actual. I guess my understanding about affirmations and attraction in general is that you need to ‘live in the house’ in your mind. That is, not just see what you want, but believe you’ve already attained it, and live as though that’s the case.

If my understanding is accurate, is day dreaming really an effective tool? Maybe it’s just my interpretation of day dreaming that’s the problem. But when I daydream, it’s more ‘fantastical’ in nature…that is, not really based in reality.

Anyway, enough said…I’d enjoy your take on this, and thanks again for your site. You’re doing a great job and I can tell it suits you well. Cheers.

Lori - March 26, 2009

Hi Evelyn!

Your post about money beliefs was eye-opening for me, and I’m enjoying the related posts. (They even inspired some of my recent writing). Thanks for this. I appreciate the opportunity to challenge my beliefs about prosperity!

Evelyn,

That was a nice post. Reminded me of the value of affirmations again. My affirmation goes like this, “I’ll see it because I believe it.”

Evelyn - March 26, 2009

@Jocelyn, I have been trying Joe Vitale’s affirmation since I posted this article. Guess what? I am seeing some results from 3 days of saying it already! Abundance is definitely flowing!

@Nadia, I like yours – short and sweet!

@Marj, thanks for sharing your affirmation. I certainly believe in the “One Self”!

@Cath, I’m happy to know that my post has provided the necessary reminder! Good for you!

Evelyn - March 26, 2009

@Coryelle, you are most welcome 🙂

@Dragos Roua, it’s great that you are intending to use the affirmations from The Power of Your Subconscious Mind! All the best!! I love the abundance that money affords me too!

@Patricia, it’s nice to know that you don’t have money worries for yourself and able to do (in terms of raising funds for non-profit organizations) what aligns with you. As parents, there is a tendency to worry over our kids. However, I’m sure that you already know that they are more than capable in helping themselves out and that there is only so much we can do.

@Lisa, it’s great that you have found affirmations, whether general or specific, working for you!

Davina - March 26, 2009

Hi Evelyn. I don’t have any affirmations that I use presently. I used to use them. Now I’m intent on observing myself and catching my thoughts. I ask myself questions about what I am thinking and what it is saying about what I believe about myself. I then decide if I really believe something or if it is just a fear that needs to be let go of.

I have Louise Hay’s book — quite like her writings. I used to use a lot of her affirmations for health issues. They help to keep you connected and in the present and to be responsible for your thoughts.

Evelyn - March 26, 2009

@Mary, I smiled when I read your comment. It’s what my husband talks about everyday. *Wink* A nice goal for us too! We are on the same journey. I wish you much success and luck in attaining your desire!

@Jeb, I closed comments to some of my older posts because I have been unable to handle new ones coming in. The words “day dreaming” can mean differently to various people; but what you are doing is right in the picturing of the “house” in your mind and as if you have already attained it. Perhaps the more accurate word that will not result in confusion ought to be “visualization”. My oversight!! And I apologize 🙂 I wish you all the best! Abundance always!

@Lori, it’s a great honor to be able to inspire some posts on your site. I’m happy to know that my posts have been useful! It is certainly great to have more of us circulating ideas for abundance on the web. A welcome change to all the news about the “economic crisis” on other sites!

@Sunny, yours is punchy and powerful! Awesome!

Evelyn - March 26, 2009

Hello Davina,

For a couple of weeks, I have been observing my own thoughts but reached a point that I’ve done all I could with dealing with them on that level. I am now onto saying Dr Joe Vitale’s wealth affirmations and at the same time, watching if any negative emotions/thoughts/beliefs have come up (which provides me the opportunity to use EFT or any other method to deal with them).

So far, I have been having a wonderful 3 days since publishing my post and reading the affirmations aloud. It’s of course early days yet but I am seeing good results in business.

Abundance always,
Evelyn

Evelyn - March 27, 2009

@Jeb, I’m glad to have a chance to make a clarification. I am also here to learn as much as everyone else. I wish you much success in your visualizations! Abundance Always!

@Barbara, it’s great that you like my post!! From my experience, I have found it useful to “nail” down the money belief that had been blocking my success. I practice gratitude too but over the last few days, I have additionally been trying out Dr Joe Vitale’s wealth affirmation to see if anything happens. It’s great fun!

@Robin, is this book sold over Amazon? It was glad that you went into alternative healing. We would not have “met” if both of us had not. Hugs to you!

I’ve never had a problem with understanding that money is an important necessity. It gives me the freedom to do the things I want and need to do with my life. That said, money shouldn’t be the sole motivator for achieving happiness or status; far from it.

I believe in keeping you house clutter free and stop collecting useless things.
I don’t really think that it matter what you say or think as long a you perceive yourself as wealthy. Wealth is not just about money. I feel very wealthy when I spend a day with my family.
And if you have simple habits you don’t need as much money.

Peter Levin - March 28, 2009

I have affirmations in my wallet from T.Harv Eker (I create my life, I create the exact amount of my financial success…. – it is 20 of them) I got it from his Millionaire Mind Intensive seminar in Chicago last year. I am carrying it with me at all time.

I totally agree that affirmation only works if conscious and subconscious minds are in sync, otherwise it creates internal emotional conflict and those affirmation might not be effective or it is just will take to much time to believe in what you saying.

I know the power of affirmations, but for some weird reasons I don’t use them as much as I should. I definitely need to incorporate it in my morning ritual.

Thanks Evelyn for reminder 🙂

Hi Evelyn! I read this article and just couldn’t help getting excited! I first came upon things like the law of attraction about 15 years ago while reading Napoleon Hill’s materials. As I recall, he never used the phrase “Law of Attraction” but the principle is the same. Many of his books were written in the late 1920’s and 1930’s! I’ve never read Joseph Murphy’s book but now that I know of it I will do so when I obtain a copy.

This was a great article filled with so much “meat” and I truly enjoyed reading it!
