Book Review: Choices and Illusions by Dr Eldon Taylor

“Life is indeed full of choices and illusions. What I know today is this: If we do not examine our illusions, they can take us far, far away from our intended path.” Dr Eldon Taylor in Choices and Illusions

Choices and Illusions Dr Eldon TaylorChoices and Illusions by Dr Eldon Taylor is a book that will be great for those who wish to understand about how we can change the patterns that would lead us to greater happiness and fulfillment. Its newest revised edition has just been launched. The book was already a New York Times best seller when it was first released.

Well, I was invited to review the latest edition. I had said yes to the invitation, but do note that my post is not a compensated review. I said “yes” because the need to look into beliefs that we unconsciously buy into is something that I highly recommend doing.

The Power of Choice.

As I write this review, I recall experiencing a breakthrough moment when I first realized that I had the power to make a different choice in each thought I had. I encountered a sense of freedom for I had been stuck in blame for a long time. At the cusp of my personal development journey, it finally dawned on me that I could always make a different choice in the way I think. I could question my beliefs and change my thoughts to more positive ones. Since then, I have taken greater ownership and the result was an unfolding of new opportunities.

Hopefully, this book can do the same for you too – especially if you have not been aware about how you have been sabotaging your own success and happiness.

It offers you an alternative way of thinking.

In Choices and Illusions, Dr Eldon Taylor provides guidelines on how you can change our life through letting go of the self-imposed boundaries that predispose your so-called choices. He channels practical spirituality by drawing on science, stories and distilled wisdom. By following the road map, you are able to start questioning the beliefs that you have been holding.

Breaking Free from Illusions.

Dr Eldon Taylor impresses on how we tend to limit our potential through the old and false beliefs and assumptions we hold of ourselves. Unfortunately, most of us have been programmed by these illusions 24/7. And because of the programming, we tend to play small.

By having an understanding of how your subconscious mind works, you are asked to break free from the many illusions. You are able to realize how harmful or dangerous it is to hold on to beliefs that are false. You are asked to stand back and to see the big picture, as you review the experiences that you have been through.

Reap the Benefits from Exercising an Informed Choice

I had previously reviewed Dr Eldon Taylor’s other book, I believe: When What You Believe Matters and found it to be excellent. While much of the information in Choices and Illusions is once again not new, I still find it a worthwhile read. Choices and Illusions is a book that focuses more on how we can choose to free ourselves from the confines of false illusions and ultimately, discover the deeper dimension within ourselves that is limitless.

If you are new to Dr Eldon Taylor’s work or information about the inner workings of the mind, Choices and Illusions is a book that you may wish to consider picking up. Check out the book trailer for it….

Hi Evelyn,
Thank you for sharing this fascination book review with us.

This sounds very much like a book I just finished reading that was sent to me by the author. Lately, I’ve been drawn to several books and programs on changing the subconscious belief patterns that keep us stuck in life. If we change our beliefs we will change our choices.

I think when you see something appear over and over and it makes an impression upon you it is time to pay attention to it!

Hi Evelyn,

I liked your helpful review πŸ˜‰ Good stuff, because I too had much to wrestle with in terms of limiting beliefs and past, destructive views of self. By shedding, I grew, and this read seems to point us in the right direction in this department.

Thanks for sharing Evelyn!

Hi Ryan,

Thank you for dropping by.

Most of us do have many limiting beliefs. The more we can let these go, the more freedom we experience. And that is pure /true abundance!

Love and abundance always,
